Aix gibassié

The gibassié Aixois is an integral part of the thirteen Provençal desserts, it can be replaced by the pompe à l'huile which is in fact softer and must be made with olive oil too. Traditional Provencal recipe.

This is the only dessert that divides the people of Provence. Indeed, depending on the town and village, the recipe varies and the gibassié is more like a brioche than a hard, crunchy biscuit that keeps for a very long time and is sold in the region of Lourmarin, for example (in the Luberon) and all around Aix-en-Provence. This biscuit, when it is brioche, is called the pompe à huile and can only be kept for a few days.

La maison du fruit confit presents this gibassié from the Aix region, for the 13 desserts or simply as a snack.

This small 90g biscuit will awaken your palate. For adults or children.
